This blog documents my day to day thoughts, observations and photos developed while participating in a joint outreach project to Haiti. At least twice a year a group folks from different organizations travel as a team to Cap-Haitien, a city to the north on Haiti's coast.
Our goals for this trip include:
* A water project to provide clean, Cholera free water
* Micro loan development for women in the city
* Provisioning a new school with benches, tables, electrical outlets, fans, etc.
* Maintenance work in an orphanage
* Repairs to past projects
This trip took place the week of 24 January 2011, and was coordinated by Mike and MaryLu Hertz.
